Off-site shredding is the alternative to on-site shredding – where a secure shredding service takes your confidential documents off-site and carries out confidential document destruction.

What are the benefits of off-site shredding?

Off-site shredding is an ideal secure shredding service for businesses where it is not convenient for a mobile shredder to visit the site or document collections are not required at such regular intervals.

Our off-site shredding is a secure alternative to our on-site shredding solution. It may not always be convenient or access may be poor for a large shredding truck to park at your premises. So we also offer our off-site service where we collect your confidential material, usually from locked containers that we’ve previously provided to you free of charge, and transport to our depot where our static shredder does its job.You’re welcome to see the process on our webcam. Alternatively, you may wish to visit our site and watch the destruction of your documents personally. Our staff are uniformed and CRB checked and our vehicles are satellite-tracked for your additional security. All material is shredded and baled for recycling. As with our mobile shredding service, we provide you with a Certificate of Destruction.

We can provide a regular, scheduled service or one-off clearance.

Offsite Document Shredding Compliance

Our code of ethics is in compliance with British Standard BS EN15713 Secure Destruction of Confidential Material. This includes vetting of personnel (to BS 7858), contracts with customers and recycling of paper.

Greenaway Group offers a wide variety of lockable containers and sacks for the safe storage of confidential waste prior to collection for security shredding.

How do I know off-site shredding is secure?

By working with an established and accredited company such as Greenaway Group the security of your data destruction when undertaking off-site shredding is guaranteed. Documents are held securely in locked consoles until a member of our security vetted and uniformed staff collect your information and securely transport it to one of our secure shredding depots.
All our secure off-site shredding facilities are alarmed and have CCTV for additional security. Utilising advanced shredding technology, the shredders range in throughput from 2,000kgs per hour to 4,000kgs per hour as well as minimising dust and power consumption. On average the power consumption per 1,000kgs is less than our competitors’ shredding machines.
